As a New York State certified Elementary and Special Education Teacher, Kasey has contributed her expertise to schools across New York City and Long Island, enriching the lives of students with her innovative teaching methods and compassionate approach.
Born and raised in East Williston, New York, Kasey’s journey in education began at The Wheatley School. She furthered her academic pursuits at Lehigh University in Bethlehem, Pennsylvania, where she studied Child Psychology and Education. After completing her undergraduate studies, Kasey felt drawn back to her roots in New York and pursued advanced degrees in Elementary and Special Education at Teachers College, Columbia University. There, she received her master’s degree and certification, honing her skills to better serve diverse learners.
In addition to her dedication to education, Kasey has discovered a love for fitness that has become an integral part of her life. She has conquered two half marathons and is currently preparing for her third, with plans to tackle the iconic New York City Marathon in the Fall of 2024. Kasey’s commitment to personal fitness reflects her determination and drive, qualities that she brings to every aspect of her life.

Hello, I’m Aarin Hartenstein, a proud alumna of Plainedge High School. Throughout my time there, I distinguished myself as a two-time All-Conference player and had the privilege of earning the MVP title for the softball team in my senior year. Additionally, I enriched my high school experience by dedicating three years to the girls’ tennis team, embracing diverse athletic pursuits.
My journey continued at Manhattanville College, where I excelled as a key player on the softball team for four impactful years. As both a pitcher and designated hitter, I achieved remarkable success, boasting an impressive .381 batting average and delivering 35 career home runs. My contributions were recognized with prestigious awards, including the titles of MAC and ECAC Pitcher of the Year in 2019, alongside the esteemed recognition of Manhattanville Female Athlete of the Year in the same year. Moreover, I was humbled to be among the Top 25 finalists for Division III National Player/Pitcher of the Year in 2019.
Presently, I am in my third year serving as the head softball coach at Holy Trinity High School, where I am deeply committed to nurturing passion and excellence in the next generation of athletes. Hello, I’m Becca Heaney, a passionate advocate for physical education and sports. My journey began at Hampton Bays High School, where I excelled as a three-sport athlete-basketball, softball, and soccer-earning varsity positions from freshman year and captaining each team.
Notably, I transitioned to the goalie position in soccer, saving over 100 goals in my senior year. My dedication was recognized with awards like Rookie of the Year in basketball and Leader of the Game in softball, alongside the prestigious Suffolk Zone award for physical education leadership and character.
Continuing my education at SUNY Cortland, I pursued a Bachelor of Science in Physical Education. Alongside my studies, I embraced rugby, eventually leading as President and Captain, guiding the team to national competitions, and securing second place nationally for small colleges. I also engaged actively in APEM, fostering my passion for physical education. Originally from Long Island, Andrew graduated from North Shore High School before pursuing a business degree at Salve Regina University. After immersing himself in the business world in New York City, Andrew returned to Long Island to follow his lifelong passion for physical education, earning his master’s degree.
As a certified K-12 Physical Education teacher, Andrew’s enthusiasm for coaching shines through in his extensive experience leading various sports teams. From volleyball to basketball, Andrew has coached at the high school level, with basketball his particular expertise. Currently, he serves as the Boys Varsity Basketball coach at Locust Valley High School, where his leadership has led to a conference championship.
Andrew’s involvement in the sports world extends beyond coaching. He has gained valuable insights from working for the Long Island Ducks and as the president and owner of HOOPOLOGY, an AAU organization on the island.
Andrew enjoys spending time with his energetic dog, Ivy, outside the gym and the court and unwinding at his family vacation home on the St. Lawrence River in Canada.
